Community Guidelines

Last updated: June 8, 2026 · Shimle Ale Sardar (Partnership Firm)

These Community Guidelines describe content and behaviour allowed on PashuMate. They implement due diligence under the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or referral to law enforcement.

1. Prohibited content (summary)

Users must not upload, publish, or share content that:

  • Belongs to another person without rights, or is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, or invasive of privacy.
  • Harasses, threatens, or harms minors or any person.
  • Deceives or misleads about animal identity, health, breed, milk yield, pregnancy, or price.
  • Impersonates another person or business.
  • Promotes illegal cattle trade, stolen livestock, or cruelty to animals.
  • Violates intellectual property, patent, or trademark rights.
  • Contains spyware, malware, or code intended to disrupt the Platform.
  • Is prohibited under Indian law relating to sovereignty, national security, public order, or decency.

2. Animal cruelty — zero tolerance

PashuMate has zero tolerance for animal cruelty. We exist to help farmers trade livestock fairly — not to enable abuse, neglect, or illegal slaughter. All users must treat animals humanely and comply with the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and applicable state rules.

Strictly prohibited

  • Beating, kicking, burning, or otherwise inflicting unnecessary pain or suffering on any animal.
  • Listing animals that are visibly injured, emaciated, dehydrated, or kept in clearly inhumane conditions.
  • Photos or videos that depict cruelty, torture, or illegal slaughter.
  • Overloading or overcrowding animals during transport beyond lawful limits.
  • Transporting animals without adequate food, water, ventilation, or rest as required by law.
  • Tying or restraining animals in ways that cause injury or extreme distress.
  • Selling animals solely for illegal slaughter, dog fighting, baiting, or any non-agricultural cruel purpose.
  • Mutilation or harmful practices prohibited under animal husbandry or veterinary regulations.

Seller and buyer responsibilities

  • Provide adequate shelter, feed, and water while animals are in your care before sale.
  • Use humane loading and unloading; avoid harsh handling during inspection or pickup.
  • Disclose injuries, illness, or lameness honestly — do not mask suffering to complete a sale.
  • Use licensed transporters and comply with state livestock transport and movement rules.
  • Report suspected cruelty on the Platform or to local animal husbandry / police authorities.

We may remove listings, suspend accounts, and report serious cases to the Animal Welfare Board of India, state animal husbandry departments, or law enforcement. Repeat or severe violations may result in permanent bans and cooperation with authorities.

3. Livestock listing standards

  • Use recent, unedited photos of the actual animal offered for sale.
  • Disclose known health issues, pregnancy status, and vaccination history honestly.
  • Do not list animals you do not own or have authority to sell.
  • Comply with state rules on sale of cows/buffalo and movement restrictions.
  • Bulk lots must state accurate headcount and average weight.

4. Reviews and messaging

  • Reviews must be based on genuine transactions or interactions.
  • No retaliation reviews, hate speech, or sharing of private contact data in public fields.

5. Reporting

Report suspicious listings or suspected animal cruelty via in-app report tools or email grievance@pashumate.com. For urgent cruelty in progress, also contact your local animal husbandry department or police. We review reports and may act within timelines required under IT Rules 2021 when content is unlawful or violates these Guidelines.
