Last updated: June 8, 2026 · Shimle Ale Sardar (Partnership Firm)

Shimle Ale Sardar (Partnership Firm), operating the brand PashuMate ("we", "us", "our"), provides a map-first livestock discovery platform at www.pashumate.com and the PashuMate Android application (together, the "Platform").

This Privacy Policy is a standalone notice under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. It explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it, whom we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

1. Scope and roles

PashuMate acts as a data fiduciary for account, location, and platform usage data. For livestock transactions, sellers remain responsible for information they publish about animals. We process data to operate discovery, trust, payments for platform services, and compliance with Indian law.

  • Applicable laws include the Information Technology Act, 2000; IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011; IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021; Consumer Protection Act, 2019; Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020; and DPDPA, 2023.
  • This notice is separate from our Terms & Conditions.

2. Personal data we collect

Data you provide

  • Account data: name, email, profile photo (via Google Sign-In), optional mobile number and OTP verification status.
  • Listing data: livestock descriptions, photos, videos, asking price, breed, species, village or locality, and map pin location.
  • Service profile data: vet, feed shop, or transporter business details you choose to publish.
  • Communications: support messages, reports, reviews, and offer/deal messages stored on the Platform.
  • Payment-related data for platform fees (featured listings, promotions): billing name and transaction references via Razorpay. We do not store full card or UPI credentials.

Data collected automatically

  • Device and app identifiers, app version, crash logs, and performance diagnostics (Firebase).
  • Approximate or precise location when you grant permission — used for map search, nearby listings, and district pages.
  • Usage events: searches, map interactions, listing views, and contact attempts (for safety and product improvement).
  • Cookies and similar technologies on the website (see Cookie Policy).

Sensitive personal data

We do not require collection of Aadhaar, biometrics, or health records. If you voluntarily include animal health information in a listing, you are responsible for accuracy and lawful disclosure. Phone numbers may be shared with the other party only when you initiate contact on an active listing, consistent with our Terms.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Provide map search, listings, mandi-rate intelligence, and account features (performance of service / consent).
  • Verify identity, prevent fraud, spam, and duplicate accounts (legitimate interests and legal compliance).
  • Enable optional phone verification and contact between buyers and sellers (consent).
  • Process platform payments through Razorpay for featured listings and other paid platform services (contract / consent).
  • Send service notifications, security alerts, and — where permitted — product updates (consent or legitimate interests).
  • Comply with court orders, government directions, tax/GST record-keeping, and law-enforcement requests (legal obligation).
  • Improve the Platform using aggregated or de-identified analytics.

4. How we share personal data

  • Other users: listing content you publish is visible to the public; contact details are shared only per your actions (call/WhatsApp).
  • Processors: Google (Firebase Auth, Firestore, Storage, Maps, Analytics), Razorpay (payments), and hosting providers under contractual safeguards.
  • Authorities: when required by law, court order, or to protect users, animals, or platform integrity.
  • Business transfers: merger, acquisition, or asset sale with notice where practicable.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share data with third parties for their independent marketing without your consent.

5. Retention

  • Active account data: retained while your account exists and as needed to provide services.
  • Listings: retained while published and for a reasonable period after removal for dispute resolution and legal compliance.
  • Payment records: retained as required by tax, accounting, and RBI/payment-partner rules (typically up to 8 years where applicable).
  • Logs and security records: retained for limited periods unless longer retention is required for investigations.
  • You may request erasure subject to exceptions (pending transactions, legal holds, fraud prevention).

6. Your rights (Data Principal)

Under the DPDPA, you may request access, correction, erasure, grievance redressal, and nomination of a contact in the event of death or incapacity. You may withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g., marketing, optional phone verification) without affecting core browsing where lawful.

  • Email support@pashumate.com or grievance@pashumate.com with your registered email and request details.
  • We may verify identity before fulfilling requests.
  • We aim to respond within timelines prescribed under applicable rules (up to 90 days for grievance resolution where DPDPA applies).
  • You may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India when the framework is fully operational, after exhausting our grievance process.

7. Children

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us for deletion.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures including HTTPS, Firebase security rules, access controls, and payment processing via PCI-DSS compliant partners. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. International transfers

Our infrastructure may process data on servers located in India and, through service providers such as Google, in other jurisdictions. We require appropriate contractual protections where data is transferred outside India.

10. Grievance Officer (IT Rules 2021 & DPDPA)

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the DPDPA, we have appointed a Grievance Officer resident in India:
